Julie Bower

Julie is the creator and writer of BAFTA and Broadcast Award winning CBBC comedy SO AWKWARD, currently on its 9^th series. She has written episodes for animated series WEREWORLD (Netflix/Lime Pictures), Disney’s THE EVERMOOR CHRONICLES and THE LODGE, THE WORST WITCH (CBBC), and FLATMATES (BBC iPlayer). Prior to this Julie had two original sitcom scripts commissioned for BBC 3 and her first short film received Wandsworth Borough and British Council funding. This and subsequent shorts were screened at festivals worldwide, including LA Comedy Shorts, Soho Rushes, Cannes in a Van, CoFilmic (Winner: Audience Award) and BAFTA. Julie has also written on numerous Radio sketch shows and created original Radio 4 sitcom pilot 49 CEDAR STREET. She is currently developing an original comedy series with Roughcut TV.
