Lee Lyford


Lee is a freelance theatre director whose productions range from the intimate BLUEBEARD at Soho Theatre to an epic adaptation of BEN HUR featuring a cast of 130. From 2009-2015 Lee was Associate Director of The Egg, Theatre Royal Bath directing more than 40 productions on all three stages and achieving particular critical acclaim for his inventive Christmas shows including THE NUTCRACKER and MOOMINLAND MIDWINTER.  Most recently he directed BRITAIN’S BEST RECRUITING SERGEANT  by Joy Wilkinson at the Unicorn Theatre and TUXEDO JUNCTION at the Watermill Theatre in Newbury. Forthcoming projects include THE FALCON’S MALTESER by Anthony Horowitz for The Pleasance Edinburgh and a national tour, and THE LADYKILLERS at the Watermill Newbury. Lee is a regular director for Bristol Old Vic’s new writing/theatre making programme Ferment.
