Andrew Riley




Andrew is a prolific set and costume designer working internationally across theatre, opera and musical theatre. He graduated with a first class honours from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and has designed for companies such as Scottish Opera, Singapore Repertory Theatre, Opera Holland Park, Bucharest National Operetta and British Youth Opera.

Theatre credits include: THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (Thessaloniki and Athens, People Entertainment Group in association with Really Useful Group, Greece and Folketeateret, Oslo, Norway); THE SIMON AND GARFUNKEL STORY (Dublin’s Gaiety and West End’s Vaudeville Theatres); WHISPER HOUSE (The Other Palace);  A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM (Guildford Shakespeare Company); Frank Wildhorn’s WONDERLAND (UK Tour -Set Design); The 20th Anniversary of SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD (St James Theatre); SAVING JASON (Park Theatre); VANITIES THE MUSICAL (Trafalgar Studios - Nominated for Best Set and Costume Design, Broadway; THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING (UK Tour); DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL; CASA VALENTINA (Southwark Playhouse); SUNSET BOULEVARDFOLLIES (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre); SMASH AND GRAB EVENT (Key Holding company/ Met Police, Canary Wharf); CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, WONDERFUL TOWN (Arts Educational); LYSISTRATA JONES, FLORA THE RED MENACE (Guildford School of Acting); I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE; THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST; NAKED NOT NUDE, (LAMDA); THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE (Landor Theatre); RED RIDING HOOD (Singapore Repertory Theatre). As an Assistant/Associate, Andrew has worked on productions for the National Theatre of Spain, Donmar Warehouse, The Metropolitan Opera, Sheffield Crucible, Royal Shakespeare Company, Bath Theatre Royal, Shakespeare’s Globe, International Pop Music Concerts, productions in the West End and on Broadway.
