Bio

Atlanta Green is a Black British screenwriter and playwright of Jamaican origin from South West London who is part of the BBC Comedy Writers Room 20/21 Cohort. Atlanta was listed in 2019 as one of 30 influential black creatives under 30 years old to look out for, as part of The British Blacklist curated by Guap Magazine and sponsored by Nike.

In 2019 she wrote OI PUSSY a 3 part comedy for BBC iPlayer (Big Deal Films) and in 2021 she wrote a teen monologue, IS THE CAMERA ON? (CBBC/Channel X).

Atlanta has a particular interest in diverse stories and finding the humour and silver lining in the mundane realities around us. She has shown theatrical pieces at various theatres including Theatre 503, The Courtyard, Stratford Royal Theatre East and The Hen & Chicken Theatre amongst other venues.

She is currently writing an episode of NOVA JONES (Jam Media / CBBC) and working with Fudge Park and Channel X on her own original comedy projects and has recently been commissioned to create short form comedy for CBBC, BBC Three and Hat Trick Productions.
