Bebe Sanders

Writer

Bio

Bebe is a writer, actress, and graduate of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (2013). Her work is bold, contemporary, and emotionally resonant.

In 2018 she starred in Poor Michelle’s acclaimed premiere of her play Violet, which toured from the Edinburgh Fringe to London’s Bunker Theatre, the Tristan Bates, and the 2019 Vault Festival. Violet, the story of an unlikely friendship between an octogenarian and “the most millennial millennial”, has since been adapted by Bebe for the screen.

She made her debut in 2017 with Pebbles, a sold-out, critically acclaimed play exploring isolation and illness on a distant planet. In 2023 she created and performed Snail, a witty, fearless one-woman show offering a sideways glance at the high-pressure life of a young teacher on the brink and the mating rituals of snails!

Currently supported by Paines Plough as one of their Big Room writers, Bebe is developing her next stage play along with a range of original ideas for television and film. She is represented for acting by Sally Hope Associates.
