Bindu de Stoppani

Bindu is a British Writer and Director, fluent in both English and Italian. 

Her sophomore feature film, FINDING CAMILLE, shot in Switzerland, Italy, and Bosnia, premiered at the International Rome Film Festival in October 2017 to great acclaim. It was broadcast in Germany, France and Switzerland on Swiss television and ARTE. Following a cinema release, it was screened in UK by the independent cinema group Kino Digital. 

For television Bindu created (and showran) the Netflix Original series AN ASTROLOGICAL GUIDE FOR BROKEN HEARTS, based on Silvia Zucca’s hit book, which Bindu also co-wrote and co-directed. Season 1 and Season 2 are streaming in 190 countries and the series reached the top 10 spot in Italy, France, Spain and Argentina. With the support of Dancing Ledge Productions and ScreenSkill’s High-end Television (HETV)’s New Writers Programme, Bindu developed an original pilot script entitled ORANGE. She also wrote and executive produced the pilot SCAMMED for TriStar/Sony Television in the US and is developing a slate of projects in both the UK, Italy and US.

Recent Directing credits include two episodes of BEYOND PARADISE (S3 ep 3 & 4), two episodes of SILENT WITNESS (Season 26), a block of SIGNORA VOLPE 2 for Acorn TV, and a block of episodes for a new Paramount+ thriller, GIRL TAKEN.
