Bio

Greer is a multi award-winning writer from Belfast, Northern Ireland currently living in London. 

His debut feature film, BUTTERFLY KISSES, premiered at the 2017 Berlin Film Festival where it won the Crystal Bear for Best Film, making Greer the youngest person to win this award. BUTTERFLY KISSES went on to win another 10 awards and receive a further 12 nominations internationally.

In 2024, his Amazon Original romantic comedy HOW TO DATE BILLY WALSH, premiered on Prime Video where it held the number 03 spot on Amazon’s worldwide charts for over three weeks. Greer’s next feature film, horror WHAT REMAINS OF US, written for Universal Studios and starring Kit Harrington, is due for theatrical release in July 2024. He is currently writing another horror feature for Range, produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Insidious).

Greer is also a series regular writer on hit BBC crime drama HOPE STREET on which he has written episodes across the last 3 seasons and he has a host of original ideas in active development with leading UK Indies.

Greer has written two audio dramas for BBC Sounds and BBC Radio 3, and his film scripts have been selected for the BBC Drama Room, BBC Writers Room, Film London’s Microwave Scheme, Midpoint, LA Screenwriters Festival, Northern Ireland Screen Development Funding, BFI Development Funding, Cinestory, IFP, and the Sam Spiegel Film Lab.
