Bio
Henry is a writer, actor and newly-qualified doctor. He has recently written for renowned institutions such as the Old Vic, Pentabus Theatre, VAULT Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe, in addition to being selected for programmes like BBC Writersroom Voices, the Old Vic TheatreMakers, the Almeida Theatre Young Company and the NSDF Writers' Lab. He was the 2024 Theatr Clwyd Writer in Residence, and was recently selected as a ‘Playwright of Tommorow’ by Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass, with an extract of his writing performed at an industry sharing at the Other Palace in London’s West End. In 2025, Henry’s play ‘The Gel’ (created as part of a commission to write a brand new play for the third-year BA Acting Students at the Oxford School of Drama) ran at the New Diorama Theatre, whilst another of Henry’s plays, ‘tiny violent acts’, was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting and the Theatre503 International Playwriting Award. Henry’s first play, PLAGUED, received the Best New Play award at the Oxford University New Writing Festival.
