Imogen Bole

Imogen is a playwright and screenwriter based in London. Her first feature film, A CONFLICT OF LOVE INTEREST (produced by Reel One Entertainment), was shot in New York and released in 2024. Her first Short Film Script, STEP BY STEP, won Best Screenplay at the British Short Film Awards 2022. 

She is currently part of the Soho Theatre’s Studio Writers’ Group, a BAFTA Connect member and an alumnus of the Soho House Fellowship programme.

Her latest dark-comedy play, HALF-TRUTHS AND HLEÓW-FEÐER, has been described as ‘McDonagh meets Butterworth’ and has been read and performed at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, The Cockpit, The Space and the Union Theatre.

Imogen's work has been longlisted for the Theatre503 Playwriting Award and BBC Writersroom Access Group, shortlisted for the Funny Women Awards and BOLD Playwriting Award, reached the penultimate round of the Verity Bargate Award, received an Honourable Mention in the Alpine Fellowship Theatre Award and won Soho House’s Scripted Hot Seat.

She is currently developing projects for stage, film and TV.
