Kevin Jenkins

Bio

Kevin is a highly experienced set, costume and environment designer working across theatre, immersive experiences and large-scale productions in the UK and internationally. With two decades of experience and over 150 productions to his name, he is known for creating visually striking, textural worlds that combine rigorous research with engineering precision.

A longstanding collaborator of Sir Alan Ayckbourn, Kevin has designed numerous premieres and revivals at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, including taking A Brief History of Women to 59E59 Theaters in New York (2018). His work has also been seen at Sheffield Theatres, Derby Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse and Leicester Curve.

Kevin is particularly valued for his versatility, delivering complex, technically ambitious productions, such as the first ever staging of Noises Off in the round, alongside large-scale commercial work including family shows, pantomimes and immersive Polar Express experiences. His practice is rooted in a deep understanding of space, architecture and storytelling, resulting in environments that are both imaginative and fully realised for audiences of all ages.

He trained at the Motley Theatre Design School and holds an MEng in Engineering from Durham University.
