Mark Burton

Mark recently wrote the double BAFTA award-winning and OSCAR nominated WALLACE & GROMIT: VENGEANCE MOST FOWL (Aardman Animations) and co-wrote PADDINGTON 3 (Heyday/Studio Canal). He is currently co-writing the upcoming Special SHAUN THE SHEEP: THE BEAST OF MOSSY BOTTOM (Aardman Animations). 

Past credits include co-writing and co-directing the OSCAR and BAFTA nominated SHAUN THE SHEEP: THE MOVIE and co-writing and executive producing the OSCAR and BAFTA nominated sequel, SHAUN THE SHEEP: FARMAGEDDON. 

Other film credits include WALLACE & GROMIT IN THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT (Aardman/Dreamworks), which won an OSCAR in 2006 for Best Animated Feature and a BAFTA for Best British Film, GNOMEO & JULIET (Rocket/Disney), ALIENS IN THE ATTIC (Fox), and MADAGASCAR (Dreamworks) which was based on an original idea by Mark Burton and Billy Frolick. 

Mark has worked on numerous comedy television programmes such as POWER MONKEYS, BALLOT MONKEYS and HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU, and he wrote the TV adaptation of John O’Farrell’s novel MAY CONTAIN NUTS (Tiger Aspect/ITV).
