Owen Tooth

Owen is an award-winning Film and Television Director. His debut feature DEVIL’S TOWER has been released globally on Blu-Ray and VOD, whilst his other films have been screened at hundreds of festivals worldwide. His short film CONCEPTUAL was released with PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. His most recent short BODY WITH NO FACE was highly commended at the Focus On Ability Film Fesitval, whilst his documentary A STORY OF CHANGE won Best BTS at the BRAND Film Awards, and PMS: PREMENSTRUAL SUPERHEARING won Best Comedy at Berlin Flash Film Festival. 

In 2018 Owen became a wheelchair user, and despite this significant setback, he is driven to improve diversity and representation onscreen and on set. He aims to use his unique life experience to entertain a wide audience with flair and warmth. 

Owen is a member of Directors UK and is part of the Inspire mentorship under BAFTA nominated Max Myers. He is in BAFTA Connect, and has been selected for BFI Directors Lab 2024 as well as BBC Elevate, which champions disabled crew. He has shadowed directors on numerous projects, including SILENT WITNESS (BBC), BEST INTERESTS (BBC), BIG BOYS (Channel 4) for which he directed 2nd unit, and HORRIBLE HISTORIES (CBBC), for which he directed additional content.
