Bio

A writer, librettist and dramaturg, Pamela's work includes THE MISFORTUNE OF THE ENGLISH (The Orange Tree Theatre, 2022) DUCK RABBIT a digital work about her mixed-race heritage for Chinese Arts Now (2021), WE ARE IN TIME a chamber opera about a heart transplant, composed by Vageir Sigurdsson for the Scottish Ensemble (2020), THEM! a large scale performance for the National Theatre of Scotland about identity and change with a cast including a colony of 150,000 leaf-cutter ants, and made with her long term collaborator Scottish director/designer Stewart Laing (2020). THE END OF EDDY an adaptation of the book by Édouard Louis which premiered at the Edinburgh International Festival (2018), LINES (Yard Theatre, 2015) ALMOST NEAR  (Finborough Theatre, 2014) SKÅNE, (Hampstead Theatre Downstairs, 2011, winner of Berlin Theatertreffen Stuckemarkt, 2012) and PAUL BRIGHT'S CONFESSIONS OF A JUSTIFIED SINNER (Untitled Projects/ National Theatre of Scotland, 2013). As a dramaturg she works frequently with Vanishing Point Theatre Company. Productions with them include: TOMORROW (2014), SATURDAY NIGHT (2011) and INTERIORS which toured internationally from 2009 to 2022.
