Rob Grant

Rob is a comedy writer most famous for co-creating, writing and producing the cult series Red Dwarf. He also wrote the TV series The Strangers and Dark Ages and contributed to Spitting Image. 

He has written the books Colony, Incompetence and Fat. He has also co-authored two of the best selling Red Dwarf novels and wrote a third Bakcwards solo. 

Recently he has collaborated with Andrew Marshall to write and produce The Nether Regions for BBC Radio 4. They also wrote Quanderhorn Xperimentations for BBC Radio 4 with a book The Quanderhorn published by Gollancz in 2020. Their new Red Dwarf prequel book Titan is published by Gollancz in July 2026.
