Selma Dimitrijevic

Selma Dimitrijevic is an award-winning writer, director, dramaturg and Creative Director working across performance, immersive storytelling, themed experiences and experience strategy. She is currently a Creative Director at Journey, where she leads the development of narrative-led immersive experiences and multidisciplinary projects for major international clients and partners. 

She is currently writing and directing a new unannounced Lightroom show opening in 2027 and was one of the creative directors on the PREHISTORIC PLANET: DISCOVERING DINOSAURS, currently playing in Lightroom and at immersive venues globally, including Paris and Amsterdam.

With a background in theatre and opera, Selma brings a dramaturgical approach to large-scale spatial and experiential work. Her practice spans world-building, IP adaptation, narrative design and collaborative development across physical and digital formats. She has experience leading multidisciplinary teams of writers, designers, filmmakers, composers and producers, and contributes to the strategic development of new experiences, formats and IP-led projects.

From 2018 to 2020 she was associate director and dramaturg on the new production of Sting’s musical THE LAST SHIP, which toured UK, Canada and USA to great acclaim. She is currently developing a feature film screenplay with Lorne Campbell and Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) about a young boy growing up in Sunderland.

As a playwright and adaptor, Selma’s work has been produced internationally and translated into multiple languages. Her work includes radical adaptations of classic texts, new writing for stage and screen, and narrative development across a range of theatrical and immersive forms.
