Bio

Shikira Porter is a screenwriter whose work moves fluidly across genres, with a skill for blending heightened concepts with grounded, relatable characters. She has written for the BBC and ITV, collaborated with Village Roadshow on an IP adaptation, and is currently working with Emanata Studios on a thriller based on one of their comic book IPs. She has also contributed to writers’ rooms for a YA feature film project, as well as an idea-generation room for Amazon. Her original dark comedy series, Sweep The House, has been optioned and is also being developed into a comic series.

In 2025, her short film script A London Hotel was longlisted for the Young Black Filmmakers Fund at the London Breeze Film Festival, and she is a semifinalist for the Black Boy/Girl Writes Mentorship initiative founded by Mike Gauyo.
