Bio
Tariq Jordan is a writer, actor, and practitioner of proud Russian-Jewish and Iraqi-Muslim heritage. A graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (2007), he has worked extensively across stage and screen.
His debut play ALI AND DAHLIA — inspired by his time working in Palestine — premiered at the Pleasance Theatre Islington in spring 2019, directed by Kerry Kyriacos Michael MBE. The play was nominated for three OffWestEnd Awards, including Most Promising New Playwright, and was a finalist for Best Play at the 2020 Writers’ Guild Awards.
In 2022, Tariq wrote JUNGEL BOOK REIMAGINED for Akram Khan’s acclaimed dance company, which premiered at Leicester Curve and embarked on a major international tour over the subsequent 3 years. He has been a member of Hampstead Theatre’s INSPIRE Writers Collective and is currently developing his next stage play and a slate of original comedy and drama projects for television.
