Bio

Teresa specialises in writing female-led, working class comedy as well as writing for young audiences alongside her writing partner Samantha Lyden. 

Recent projects include: Writing on JUSTIN'S HOUSE series 5&6 and developing a new sitcom CATCH YOURSELF ON with Sky. Their short, Neil’s Yard directed by Matt Holt, was selected for the BAFTA qualifying, Aesthetica Film Festival 2019 and won the 2019 Funny Women Award. In 2021, they were Comedy 50:50 finalists for the UKTV series commission and in 2022 their script Prunella, was selected for a live showcase by Female Pilot Club. They are also regular writers for Cartoon Network. 

In 2014, Teresa was shortlisted for the IMDb Script to Screen Award and won the IdeasTap Short Film Fund Award for her debut short film script THE BACKSEAT.

Also a playwright, Teresa’s recent credits include: CINDERELLA (Watford Palace Theatre), THE LOST LETTER, THE GHOSTLY GARDENER, THE SECRET DIARY, TIME TRAVELLERS (Wardown House Museum), ROLL CREDITS (Rich Mix), YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT (Edinburgh / Tour), WATERPROOF(Hat Factory).

Teresa’s background is in theatre for children and families, working as a producer for the award winning Scamp Theatre for over 8 years. She is also the co-founder of How It Ended, an ambitious theatre company making work with and for young people, most recently working with the National Theatre on their Space to Create Programme.
