Tori Lyons

Tori is a writer, dramaturg and director from Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales.

Her debut play, MY NORMAL F**KING SEX LIFE, premiered in 2026 at The Riverfront Theatre to audience and critical acclaim. (“A fearless, funny and fiercely relatable piece of theatre that has something to say to every adult in the room” – Entertainment South Wales ★★★★★), (“Lyons’ script is as witty as it is heartbreaking, wonderfully silly and yet frequently profound, she radiates warmth, wit and charisma, immediately putting the audience as ease” – Plays to See). The play will be touring in 2027.

Tori was commissioned by Paul Forde (head of comedy commissioning for BBC Wales) and Nick Andrews (head of commissioning for BBC Wales) alongside two other writers to create an original BBC Wales Comedy pilot. Babes was filmed in 2025 and is currently under negotiations for future development.

Tori’s short film drama ‘Justice’ has entered the film festival circuit for 2026 and was developed with Like an Egg Productions.

Tori has directed two sold out runs at The Sherman Theatre, including James Graham’s ‘Quiz’ in 2025 and new writing ‘The Blunder Games’ in 2026. Tori will be associate director on ‘Grip of Life’ which will embark on its Welsh tour later this year.

Tori has also creative facilitated several writing projects with The Wallich, a charity for people at risk of homelessness. Tori regularly works with service users and vulnerable adults to develop and facilitate their creative voice. This includes creating and directing original pieces ‘Our Story’ (Sherman Theatre) and ‘The Village of the Damned’ (The Riverfront Theatre).
