Adam Hughes


Adam is a playwright and screenwriter from Leeds. With his working-class background and mixed heritage, he has a passion for telling stories often unheard on our stages and screen.¬†He currently writes for the BAFTA Award-winning Casualty and is also developing a range of original television ideas. For stage, his work includes Joy (Leeds Playhouse), Where Do We Go Next (Bunker Theatre), West End Girls (Live Theatre), James Graham’s Sketching (Wilton’s Music Hall), Beeston (Finborough Theatre) and Marching On Together (Old Red Lion Theatre). A past recipient of the OffWestEnd Adopt a Playwright Award, he is currently¬†Playwright-on-Attachment at the Finborough Theatre.
