Asif Khan


Asif is an award winning writer and actor born and raised in Bradford. His debut play COMBUSTION toured the UK in 2017 and was nominated for OffWestEnd’s Best New Play award and Best Writer in the Stage Debut awards. In 2018 Asif won the Channel 4 Playwright’s Scheme award with RIFCO and Watford Palace where he is currently under commission. In 2019 he wrote IMAAM IMRAAN for the National Youth Theatre, directed by Iqbal Khan, which played at the Bradford Literary Festival. He is a Tamasha alumnus with whom he has worked on various school theatre projects and is now developing a full-length piece. He developed his first sitcom DIRTY SHINY BRADFORD whilst part of the BBC Comedy Room and he was named on the BBC New Talent Hotlist in 2017. He is also┬ádeveloping his first screenplay.
