Atlanta Green is a writer from South West London with experience writing across theatre; TV and short film. With a particular interest in comedy writing; Atlanta was commissioned in 2018 by BBC Three to write ‘Oi Pussy’; created by Big Deal Films as part of BBC Three’s comedy threesomes. Before this Atlanta worked mostly in theatre, writing a number of short theatrical pieces performed at various scratch nights in London and venues including The Courtyard, Theatre 503, Theatre N16, Bread & Roses Theatre and Hackney Attic among others.
Atlanta was awarded arts council funding to bring to life her full length theatre piece ‘Black Ice’ which was programmed at Theatre 503 for a week in 2018; and has also written full length theatrical pieces that have been shown at Hackney Attic (The Currency Of Sex) and The Hen & Chicken Theatre (The Inmate Monologues).
Atlanta was named one of 30 Black British creatives under 30 years old to watch out for as part of The British Blacklist curated by Guap magazine in 2019.
