Carmen Nasr


Carmen is a British-Lebanese writer with an MA in Playwriting from Royal Holloway University and a winner of the Channel 4 Playwrights’ Scheme 2017. Her play DUBAILAND premiered at the Finborough Theatre where she is the playwright in residence and runs their monthly writers group. In 2018 she was commissioned by Kiln Theatre to write a play for their young company, LET KILBURN SHAKE, directed by Harry Mackrill. She is a member of the Orange Tree Collective and previously she was part of Royal Court’s Playwriting Group. In 2015 her play THE HOUSE OF MY FATHER was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize and Carmen was shortlisted for’s prestigious Adopt a Playwright Award.
