Dawn Harrison

Currently part of the EMMERDALE core writing team, Dawn has also written on numerous series of the multi-award-winning THE DUMPING GROUND, winning an RTS Award for one of her episodes. She was previously a core writer on DOCTORS, creating and writing three acclaimed 5-parters, and she won Best Single Episode at the British Soap Awards in 2009. Her other credits include HOLBY CITY, TRACY BEAKER RETURNS, THE BILL and THE ROYAL. Dawn is also Artistic Director of Phosphoros Theatre, making political theatre with refugee actors who all came to the UK as unaccompanied children. They were shortlisted for the Amnesty Freedom of Expression Award, 2016, awarded Theatre of Sanctuary status in 2019 and are currently associate artists at the Unicorn Theatre. Dawn has written and directed Dear Home Office, Pizza Shop Heroes and All The Beds I Have Slept In for the company.
