Bio

Delissa is a scriptwriter, author, agony aunt, and columnist, a winner of the Press Guild Award for Journalism and has produced over 600 hours of television in entertainment, comedy, factual and documentary. She has created and written over 20 commissioned series for various broadcasters. As Executive Producer, Head of Development and Commissioning Exec, Delissa has worked for BBC, Sky, C4, ITV, Discovery, Animal Planet, UKTv, History Channel, Bio, Living, MBC and C5.  She co-produced the theatre and documentary production of Matt Damon’s The People Speak with Colin Firth, featuring an A-lister cast including Keira Knightley, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Ben Kingsley, Mark Strong, and Celia Imrie. After decades of writing scripts for documentary and factual, Delissa has moved to scriptwriting for both comedy and drama.  Her pilot script CALL THE VET, adapted from the memoir of the same name by Bruce Fogle, is currently in development with Distant Voices and Delissa is developing a host of other original ideas. She is a dating expert for BBC Radio, writer of an agony aunt column for the Jewish News, and the author of dating advice book How I Met My Man and How You Can Meet Yours. She is also currently writing the last chapter of a history book on WW2. Previously, she managed a punk rock band (Sham 69), dealt Blackjack as a Playboy Bunny and edited one of the first sexually explicit magazines aimed at women.
