Erinn Dhesi is a playwright and performer. Her work often focuses on the effects of social media in everyday life. Erinn is currently a part of the BBC Writersroom – Coventry Voices 2021 and is writing an audio play with Tamasha Theatre and Holy Mountain which delves into the colonial history of Royal Leamington Spa from the perspective of its British Asian diaspora. Recently her monologue CHANGE premiered at Tara Theatre as part of their new 2020: Collection 1 season. She also wrote 3 short audios plays for THE POWER OF PERSUASION a secondary school education project for Tamasha Theatre in collaboration with Bloomsbury Publishing (2021).
Her award-winning one-woman show WIGS SNATCHED, PERCEPTIONS DESTROYED premiered at Vault Festival 2020 to critical acclaim, earning 4* reviews (A Younger Theatre & Broadwayworld.com). Her short plays SESH (2019) and THE WALK (2019) premiered at the Curve Theatre and a first full-length play #ADJUSTMENT received a rehearsed reading at the Belgrade Theatre (2017).
She has previously been part of the Soho Theatre Writers Lab (2014), the Tamasha Theatre Playwrights group (2019-20), the Kali Theatre Discovery Programme (2018), and the Belgrade Theatre’s Critical Mass writers group (2017).
