Finn Anderson


Finn is currently the Cameron Mackintosh composer in residence for The Hope Theatre, Manchester and the Lowry.  Finn’s musical, ISLANDER had a critically acclaimed run at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival followed by a sold out run at Southwark Playhouse and will be touring the UK later in 2020.  There are also a number of international productions in development. Finn has just completed work on a commission from RCS Glasgow and the American Music Theatre Project to write and compose a new musical LEGACY; A MOTHER’S SONG.

Other work includes three films with acclaimed video artist Rachel Maclean (Tate/National Galleries Scotland/Venice Biennale), several collaborations with Scottish Dance Theatre’s ‘Do Your Thing’ group, and musical direction and dramaturgy for WHITE by spoken word artist Koko Brown (Ovalhouse/Roundhouse/Vault Festival).

Finn has also written, composed and facilitated projects for the UK’s leading companies for young people including Youth Music Theatre UK, Scottish Youth Theatre, Young Norfolk Arts Festival, Citizens Young Company, International Youth Arts Festival.
