Guy Jones

Director

Guy is an experienced and passionate director and dramaturg. He directs new plays and contemporary revivals which bring work from the canon to new audiences.Guy is the Orange Tree’s Literary Associate, and Creative Associate at Headlong and he has previously been an Associate Artist at Company Three where he commissioned playwrights including Alice Birch, Inua Ellams and Dawn King to make work in collaboration with ICT’s members. In 2012 he directed Alice Birch’s NOT GREEN BLUE BUT GREY for ICT and the National Theatre.

Guy’s work opens up the theatre-making process to people whose access to theatre may have been limited. He has worked as a director and a facilitator for companies including Chickenshed, Synergy Theatre Project, Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust, Ambassadors Theatre Group and Theatre in Prisons and Probation. He is an Education Associate Practitioner for the Royal Shakespeare Company for whom he has delivered work in Stratford-upon-Avon, nationally and in China.
