Harry Mackrill


Harry is an exciting, emerging director and a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, with a keen interest in exploring the political and domestic across new writing and revivals. He trained as Resident Director at the Tricycle from 2013-2015 and was subsequently Associate Director from 2018-2019 when it reopened again as the Kiln Theatre. Through his work as an associate director, he has worked on some of the most stand-out productions from the National Theatre in recent years, such as PETER GYNT and ANGELS IN AMERICA. In 2019 Harry opened his break-out play WORLD’S END by James Corley at the King’s Head Theatre to rave reviews. Previously he directed Carmen Nasr’s LET KILBURN SHAKE at the Kiln Theatre and BOY WITH BEER by Paul Boakye at the King’s Head. He is currently developing a host of exciting new projects, as well as teaching acting at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and playwriting with Synergy Theatre Project.
