Ian Skelton


A graduate of Phil Parker’s MA in Screenwriting, Ian writes for both screen and stage. His play ‘Halfway Home’ was long listed for the Bruntwood Prize in 2013 and ‘Certain Little Things’ was the runner up in the short play competition at the Sydenham Festival in 2011. Three of his full length plays were produced at the Gala Theatre in Durham, including the critically acclaimed ‘Get off At Gateshead’ and he is now working on a musical. Ian also writes sketch material with credits including ‘The Stephen K Amos Show’. A recent finalist in the BBC Jesting About initiative, Ian also writes sitcoms with Dan Evans. Ian has written extensively for childrens’ television including Hey Duggee.
He is currently writing the book for a new musical ‘Honky Tonk Angels’ with Wizard Presents  and has two feature film projects and a TV comedy drama series under option.
