Jenny Knotts

Jenny is an award-winning Glaswegian playwright with an MSc in Writing for Theatre & Performance from Edinburgh University. Her play HOME won the inaugural David MacLennan Award in 2013 and the New Pie on the Block award in 2015 and she was also awarded the Playwrights’ Studio Scotland’s New Playwright Award in 2014, receiving mentorship from playwright Linda McLean. She has had plays performed and read at the Traverse, Oran Mor and The Arches and is also an opera librettist.  She was previously a member of the Traverse Theatre’s Young Writers group (2012) and the Tron 100 (2015).
