Kat Butterfield


Comedy Writer/Producer/Performer Kat Butterfield graduated from the National Film & Television School with a diploma in Writing and Producing Comedy, receiving the highest grade in the course’s history.

She since went on to write and co-produce a number of sketches for the Comic Relief Originals Series, which earned her two LOVIE Awards. The series included the viral hits Stephen Hawking’s New Voice, which aired on BBC One and NBC America, and ANTI-SOCIAL – A MODERN DATING HORROR SHOW, which was viewed over 150 million times online. 

Her sitcom pilot GYM BUNNIES was optioned by production company Citrus, and she was shortlisted for the TriForce WriterSlam Award for her sitcom pilot AMATEURS, judged by BBC & ITV. She has recently developed two new sitcom projects with Disney, and is working on a number of other sitcom projects with Daniel Audritt. 

Alongside this, she performs with sketch group ‘Northern Power Blouse’ and has acted in a number of online sketches. She was also recently shortlisted for the BBC Caroline Aherne Bursary for Funny Northern Women.

She is currently writing and producing an online sketch show series for Comedy Central UK, entitled MODERN HORROR STORIES.
