Laura’s distinctive first novel ENGLISH ANIMALS is a playful satire of rural England seen through the eyes of an Eastern-European immigrant, an unconventional love story set in the world of marquee weddings, pheasant shooting….and anthropomorphic taxidermy.
Her background is in television, making music documentaries for BBC Four such as Brasil, Brasil, Krautrock: The Rebirth of Germany, Synth Britannia and Flamenco Gypsy Soul.
