Mark Burton

Mark is currently working on PADDINGTON 3 (Heyday/Studio Canal). He co-wrote and co-directed SHAUN THE SHEEP MOVIE  (Aardman Animations/ Studio Canal), which received OSCAR and BAFTA nominations for Best Animated Film in 2015 and he co-wrote and exec produced the sequel SHAUN THE SHEEP:FARMAGEDDON released in 2019.  Other film credits include GNOMEO & JULIET (Rocket/Disney), ALIENS IN THE ATTIC (Fox), WALLACE & GROMIT IN THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT (Aardman/Dreamworks), which won an Oscar in 2006 for Best Animated Feature and a BAFTA for Best British Film, and MADAGASCAR (Dreamworks) which was based on an original idea by Mark Burton and Billy Frolick. He has worked on numerous comedy television programmes such as POWER MONKEYS, BALLOT MONKEYS and HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU, and he wrote the TV adaptation of John O’Farrell’s novel MAY CONTAIN NUTS (Tiger Aspect/ITV).
