Maud is a writer from South East London. She is currently part of the BBC Drama Script Room 2021 where she is developing her first TV script. She has been a member of various writers’ groups, including the Royal Court Writers Group lead by Alice Birch and Ali McDowall where she developed her play LAND OF MILK AND HONEY, and the Hampstead Theatre Inspire Group led by Roy Williams where she developed her latest play HAROLD HARRIS’ HUNDRETH BIRTHDAY.
Writing for theatre includes:
MARY’S BABIES based on the true story of Bertold Wiesner and his thousand unknowing donor conceived children (Vault Festival, Jermyn Street Theatre); 3 BILLION SECONDS a satire on ecofacism following a couple of population activists as they attempt to offset the environmental cost of their impending child (Vault Festival, Paines Plough Roundabout); RUR which was a finalist for the Mercury Weinberg Prize and Offie nominated ACORN and BLUE MOON. Maud has written many short plays which have been performed at theatres across London. She has written MUSEUM OF AGONY for the Royal Court’s Living Newspaper, Edition 5.
In 2021, her first radio play, OAK TREE CLOSE a ballad in seven ages with music by Johnny Flynn, aired on BBC Radio 4.
