Steven Moffat


Steven is currently working on a TV adaptation of THE TIME TRAVELLER’S WIFE (Hartswood/HBO/Warners) and has had an original four-part series, INSIDE MAN, commissioned by BBC One.¬† Previously,¬†Steven was lead writer and executive producer of DOCTOR WHO (BBC) from 2009 to 2017, and he is co-creator, writer and executive producer of SHERLOCK (Hartswood/BBC) and DRACULA (Hartswood/BBC/Netflix). He began work on the teen drama series PRESS GANG (Richmond Films/CITV), of which he wrote all 43 episodes. He went on to create and write three sitcoms: COUPLING (Hartswood/BBC), CHALK and JOKING APART (Pola Jones/BBC). Other credits include his series JEKYLL (Hartswood/BBC) and the feature film TINTIN (Dreamworks). His numerous awards include a BAFTA for DOCTOR WHO, a BAFTA and two EMMYs for SHERLOCK and the BAFTA Special Award in 2012. In 2015 he was awarded OBE for services to Drama.
