Age 14, Tasha began performing stand-up in Brighton before going to Oxford University to study Theology. Whilst there, she turned her attention to screenwriting, and studied sitcom writing at NYU during the summer of 2014. In 2019, she came 2nd in a worldwide competition, launched by producer Adi Shankar, to write an episode of The Simpson’s which addressed the criticisms of racial stereotyping in the character of Apu. She has several sitcoms in development, and has had sketch material commissioned for CRACKERJACK, LENNY HENRY, BBC3’s COMEDY QUICKIES (for which she won two Writer’s Guild Awards for Best Online Comedy) and HORRIBLE HISTORIES, among others. In 2020 she was selected as one of the Edinburgh Television Festival’s “Ones To Watch”.
