Writer

Teresa specialises in writing comedy drama alongside her writing partner Samantha Lyden. Both young women from working class backgrounds, they are passionate about bringing these unheard and female-led stories to the screen.

Recent projects include: CURVEBALL, directed by Matt Holt and produced by Colour TV London and PRUNELLA, an underdog story about a young working class woman from a council estate in Luton, daring to escape her lot. Teresa and Samantha will also be filming a series of comedy sketches this summer with Wild Street Productions.

In 2014, Teresa was shortlisted for the IMDb Script to Screen Award and won the IdeasTap Short Film Fund Award for her debut short film script THE BACKSEAT.

Also a playwright, Teresa’s recent credits include: THE LOST LETTER, THE GHOSTLY GARDENER, THE SECRET DIARY, TIME TRAVELLERS (Wardown House Museum), ROLL CREDITS (Rich Mix), YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT (Edinburgh / Tour), WATERPROOF(Hat Factory).

Teresa’s background is in theatre for children and families, working as a producer for the award winning Scamp Theatre for over 8 years. She is also the co-founder of How It Ended, an ambitious theatre company making work with and for young people, most recently working with the National Theatre on their Space to Create Programme.
