Tim Sutton


Tim is both a theatre and choral composer and musical director. Past work includes the music for the National Theatre of Scotland’s production of THE BACCHAE, DREAMFIGHTER, a commission from Lichfield Festival to adapt some of Ted Hughes’ short stories, and the community opera CYCLE SONG for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad REMOVE DOUBLE SPACE which won a Royal Philharmonic Society Award the same year.  Tim was recently MD for the West End run of musical MEMPHIS, composed and arranged music for THE AMEN CORNER and MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM at the National Theatre, and is under commission to write a new musical VICTORY with Juliet Gilkes-Romero, and BRECHT’s THREEPENNY BITS with Fiona Evans.
