Wanda Opalinska


Wanda has co-created a period crime drama that has been optioned and is currently working on the series’ novelisation.

A graduate of the prestigious WFTV Four Nations Mentoring Scheme, Wanda is also an experienced comedy writer: she was part of the Jongleurs’ Comedy Factory writing room, has written and performed in live sketch comedy (Soho Theatre, Gilded Balloon, Hen and Chickens) and co-wrote the comedy pilot THREE WOMEN IN TIME (Dir: Graeme Harper).

Other writing work includes co-creating the light entertainment format I SANG IT MY WAY, which was a finalist at the MIPCOM International Pitching Competition, developing a contemporary police series that was optioned by Thunderclap Media and developing a feature for TV with Reel One Entertainment.

Wanda is also a prolific actress with roles across television, film and theatre. Credits include AVENUE 5 (HBO), GIRI/HAJI (BBC), KILLING EVE (BBC), A MONSTER CALLS (RIVER ROAD) and PEAKY BLINDERS (BBC).
