Bio
Ewa is a Nigerian-born, Sheffield raised and now London-based human who trained as an actor at Rose Bruford. Since graduating, she has gone on to work as an actor, director, facilitator & poet. Music and movement are integral parts of Ewa’s process; she is a confident mover. Ewa wants to create and be part of stories that help us to expand our empathy and humanity. She likes to lead rooms with compassion and flexibility to reflect this.
Ewa is the 2026 JMK Award Winner and will be directing Theresa Ikoko's GIRLS at the Young Vic later this year. She is currently the director on A TO B (JFR Productions/Soho Theatre/Hightide Theatre) which is playing at Soho Theatre throughout June and is directing a rehearsed reading for Talawa's upcoming new writing festival. Ewa's previous credits include COTTINGLEY FAIRIES (BYMT/Birmingham Hippodrome), THE WELSH DRAGON (Theatr Iolo),THE KOLA NUT DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH (The Bush), various Museum Lates with tiata fahodz, Remount Director on THE BOLDS (The Unicorn) and Assistant Director on EVERY LEAF A HALLELUJAH (Regent's Open Air Theatre). Ewa was the 2025 Resident Assistant Director at The Donmar Warehouse and was previously the Resident Director on TINA: THE TINA TUNER MUSICAL. Ewa is 1/4 of No-Table Productions and was an associate director at Nouveau Riche and an associate artist of tiata fahodzi.
As a facilitator, Ewa has worked for Company Three, The Institute of Contemporary Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, amongst others.
